Bunbeg NS - Tenders Invited - Cope


Pat the Cope Gallagher has been advised by An Tanaiste Mary Coughlan TD, Minister for Education that her Department has given the necessary approval to invite tenders for the refurbishment and extension to Scoil Naomh Chonaill, Bunbeg.

Expressions of interest were received from 33 contractors, from which 10 have been invited to tender. Tenders are to be submitted by 27th August 2010. It is expected that the successful contractor should be on site in October. During the course of construction classes will continue in Ard Scoil Mhuire, Derrybeg.

The project on completion will consists of 5 main stream classrooms, resource room, learning support, special class room, library, staff room, office and general purpose area.

Pat the Cope has welcomed this news and he is hopeful that the works should be completed by the beginning of the next school year in 2011.
