Approval for repair of Gweedore Roads – Cope

Pat the Cope Gallagher MEP has welcomed the Government’s decision to give the necessary approval to Donegal County Council to proceed with works to County Roads damaged during flooding last week.

The Council immediately carried out temporary repair works which ensured access to the homes of many families cut off by the floods.

In addition to the Governments approval to the Council, Minister O Cuiv has confirmed that his Department will process applications for repairs to Accommodation Roads as soon as all of the applications have been received by tomorrow (Friday).

Pat the Cope who inspected the damage and inconvenience caused was high in his praise for the two Ministers, Mary Coughlan and Eamon O Cuiv, for their speedy positive response to the very comprehensive application submitted by Donegal County Council.

Pat the Cope hopes that repair works can commence immediately.
