Gortahork N.S. – Approval to purchase site - Cope


Pat the Cope Gallagher confirms that the Minister for Education Batt O’ Keeffe has now given approval to the Office of Public Works to proceed with the purchase of the Site in Gortahork which has been identified for the new school. This approval is subject to Planning Permission which is normal practice.

Pat the Cope has now requested the Minister to ensure that a Design team is appointed immediately with a view to progressing the project to the next stage.

Pat the Cope is confident that Planning should not be an issue as he arranged in the past a number of meetings between the Board of management and the Planning Officials when no insurmountable difficulties emerged .

Pat the Cope paid tribute to the Board of Management, Teachers, Parents and Pupils for their persistence and perseverance.
